Directing Workshop
August 8, 15, 22 & 29

This workshop is designed to help actors and designers transition to directing with confidence and ease.
It assumes general theater knowledge as it focuses on the tools and techniques directors have at their disposal in order to create a more polished and professional production, such as composition, emphasis, picturization, script analysis and rehearsal techniques.
Carl DaSilva holds a BFA in Theatre from the Goodman School of Drama/DePaul University in Chicago, followed by 30 years of experience as a theater director. He taught acting and directing for 8 years at major theater schools in Brazil and at the Tracy Roberts Acting Studio in Beverly Hills. In the Long Beach area, he has directed several plays for the last 10 years, including Play On, The Butler Did It, Wait Until Dark and Side Man at the Long Beach Playhouse.
