Robert Craig, Director
It is Mr. Craig’s pleasure to return as a director to The Long Beach Playhouse. Earlier this season he directed the Christopher Durang dark comedy, “Betty’s Summer Vacation” in the Studio Theatre. Past LBP productions he has directed are, “The Miracle Worker”, “Educating Rita”, “Laughter on the 23rd Floor”, and “Intimate Apparel”. In addition to his work with Long Beach Playhouse, Mr. Craig’s work has been seen in various Southern California venues for the past 30 plus years. Other directing credits include “Twelfth Night”, “As You Like It”, “The Tempest”, “The Lark”, and the world premiere of “Tender”.
In addition to his directing accomplishments Mr. Craig is a prolific actor as well. His favorite roles include King Lear (in “King Lear”), Atticus Finch (in “To Kill a Mockingbird”), and Drummond (in “Inherit The Wind”).
Mr. Craig graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a Master of Arts degree in Theatre Arts (with an emphasis in Directing and Theatre History).
He wishes to thank the cast and crew for all their hard work. A special thank you to Bev for being there for me when I needed her. Lastly, as always, he wishes to thank his children, Camryn, Bill, and Elizabeth for being patient with him and allowing him to follow his dream.
Beverly Lucero, Stage Manager
Thank you to Robert Craig and the Long Beach Playhouse for the opportunity to be involved with yet another wonderful production. I have had the opportunity to stage manage several shows in the Orange and Los Angeles County area. A few of my favorite shows include Moonlight and Magnolias, Pajama Game, The House of Blue Leaves, Guys and Dolls, Father of the Bride, Bus Stop, The Odd Couple and Fools. When I am not Stage Managing I enjoy the Technical side of theater, assisting my son Dallas with his many Lighting Design opportunities and my husband Daniel with his Real Estate Business. I also have a passion for Jewelry Making and Animal Rescue. Hats off to the very talented cast of No Sex Please, We’re British, thank you for your hard work and commitment to the show and be careful what you sigh for.
