A look back on nearly a century of community theatre produced by the volunteers and staff of the Long Beach Playhouse. The drama, the scandals, and don’t forget about the productions onstage!
‘Tales of the Long Beach Playhouse’ will be a one night only event on our Mainstage. A mix of readers theatre and live musical performances, the evening will tell the history of the Playhouse thanks to the research of the Historical Society of Long Beach.
Our performers will tell the story by portraying real life leaders of LBP. Founders like Lorraine Miller, frequent director Herbert Yenne, long time Board Member and Executive Director Ethel Case, and many more. Breaking up the story will be amazing singers and musicians performing songs from musicals produced by LBP.
