Due to the age of our building\, there is no elevator and the theater is only accessible by stairs. \n \nDescription: \nThe Humorist Mark Twain offers a mirror to human nature – one that repeats patterns throughout history. Twain’s words\, written 140-165 years ago\, easily apply to today’s issues of government\, racism\, religion\, and the human condition. In this one-person performance\, Haven draws from Mark Twain’s books\, journals\, lectures\, and essays to create sharp social commentary with comedic and critical storytelling. The goal is simple: to promote deep introspection; sometimes with wit and humor\, others with pathos and empathy. \nCompany Statement:\nHaven Productions is dedicated to igniting and sustaining a deep curiosity in theater as a transformative art form. We believe the stage is more than entertainment: It is a powerful lens through which truth is revealed\, and the complexities of the human condition are explored.
