Standard American stage dialect will be used. The time is 15 years after Nora left Torvald. Nora Helmer slammed the door on her stifling domestic life\, leaving behind her husband and children for a life unknown. Now she is knocking on that same door\, having returned with an urgent request for her former husband. \nCASTING THE FOLLOWING ROLES:\nNOTE: ALL ETHNICITIES AND TYPES ARE ENCOURAGED TO AUDITION. \nNORA (F\, look 40-45 years old): A much wiser woman than her former self. She is a writer and is living comfortably. \nTORVALD (M\, look 50-55 years old): Still a lawyer. He has let the community believe that Nora died rather than left him. So while Nora has been living her truth\, he has been living a lie. \nANNE MARIE: (F\, look 60-75): Nanny to Nora and then her children\, She knows everything that has happened\, or not happened\, in this family. \nEMMY: (F\, look 18-25 years old): Nora and Torvald’s daughter\, has strong ideas that often contradict her mother’s experience.
