SUMMARY:REEFER MADNESS: The Musical
DESCRIPTION:REEFER MADNESS: The Musical\nPlaying in the Long Beach Playhouse’s Studio Theater\nOct. 10 – Nov. 15\, 2026\nMusic and Book by Dan Studney\, Lyrics and Book by Kevin Murphy\nDirected by Rovin Jay\nChoreographed by Sonya Randall\nMusical Direction by Stephen Olear\nAn unlikely musical comedy inspired by an earnest 1936 public service film of the same name\, this raucous spoof takes a tongue-in-cheek look at the hysteria caused when clean-cut kids fall prey to marijuana\, leading them on a hysterical downward spiral filled with evil jazz music\, sex and violence. You won’t be able to resist the goofy charm of REEFER MADNESS\, an addictive\, hilarious\, and highly stylized musical romp with a sly satirical political commentary that will leave you wanting more. \n \nA Big THANK YOU to the Port of Long Beach for Sponsoring the 2026 Studio Season! \nPURCHASE YOUR TICKETS HERE:\nCHOOSE YOUR DATE:\n\nFriday\, October 9\, 8pm – Preview\nSaturday\, October 10\, 8pm – Opening Night and Champagne Gala\nFriday\, October 16\, 8pm\nSaturday\, October 17\, 8pm\nSunday\, October 18\, 2pm\nFriday\, October 23\, 8pm\nSaturday\, October 24\, 8pm\nSunday\, October 25\, 2pm\nFriday\, October 30\, 8pm\nSaturday\, October 31\, 8pm\nSunday\, November 1\, 2pm\nFriday\, November 6\, 8pm\nSaturday\, November 7\, 8pm\nSunday\, November 8\, 2pm\nFriday\, November 13\, 8pm\nSaturday\, November 14\, 8pm\nSunday\, November 15\, 8pm – Closing\n\nAGE LIMIT\nAs a courtesy to our patrons\, it is the policy of the theatre not to admit children under the age of 5.
