SUMMARY:REEFER MADNESS: The Musical
DESCRIPTION:REEFER MADNESS: The Musical\nPlaying in the Long Beach Playhouse’s Studio Theater\nOct. 10 – Nov. 15\, 2026\nMusic and Book by Dan Studney\, Lyrics and Book by Kevin Murphy\nDirected by Rovin Jay\nChoreographed by Sonya Randall\nMusical Direction by Stephen Olear\nAn unlikely musical comedy inspired by an earnest 1936 public service film of the same name\, this raucous spoof takes a tongue-in-cheek look at the hysteria caused when clean-cut kids fall prey to marijuana\, leading them on a hysterical downward spiral filled with evil jazz music\, sex and violence.
