Special performances on Thursday and Sunday nights may be added for private parties and special events. \nThis is a community theater production.  Non-Equity.  There is no pay.  \nAUDITION DATES:\nOpen Call: \nDates: Monday\, Nov. 4th & Tuesday\, 5th\, 2019 \nTimes: 7pm – 9pm \nLocation: Long Beach Playhouse   \nCallbacks: \nDate and Time: Wednesday November 6; 7pm – 10pm\, by invitation only. \nREHEARSALS:\nFirst Read-Through: Saturday\, November 9\, 12pm – 3pm \nRegular Rehearsals: Monday-Thursday\, 7pm – 10pm.   \nAdditional rehearsals on Sunday\, November 24; Saturday\, December 14; Sunday\, December 22; and Friday\, December 27.   \nNo rehearsal on Christmas Eve\, Christmas Day\, New Year’s Eve \nLocation: Long Beach Playhouse \nBEGINNING REHEARSAL SCHEDULE\n  \nAUDITION REQUIREMENTS:\nBring headshot and resume. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. \nSHORT SYNOPSIS:  \nLost in the fog\, a stranger seeks refuge in a nearby house\, only to find a man shot dead and his wife standing over him with a smoking gun. But the woman’s dazed confession is anything but convincing\, and the unexpected guest decides to help. Remarkably\, the police suspect a man who died two years previously; a tangled web of lies reveals family secrets and chilling motives\, where the real murderer turns out to be the greatest mystery of all.  Agatha Christie knocks it out of the park again with a murder mystery that will keep you guessing until the very end. \nCASTING THE FOLLOWING ROLES:\nNOTE:  All roles are open to all ethnicities.   \nAll roles require an upperclass British accent. \nLaura Warwick (F – 25-40) an attractive woman married to Richard but having an affair with Julian; compassionate and driven; a noir femme fatale. (All ethnicities. Role requires an upperclass British accent.) \nMichael Starkwedder (M – 25-40) an active\, tough-looking man\, he’s a shrewd thinker and smooth talker. (All ethnicities. Role requires an upperclass British accent.) \nMiss Bennet (F – 30-50) the Warwick’s longtime house manager\, grey-haired\, sensible\, alert\, brisk\, ex-hospital nurse from the war. (All ethnicities. Role requires an upperclass British accent.) \nMrs Warwick (F – 60-70) the commanding\, strong\, domineering mother of Richard.  (All ethnicities. Role requires an upperclass British accent.) \nAngell (M – 30-60) the longtime professional House Nurse/manservant to Richard\, he is not above blackmail to get what he wants. (All ethnicities. Role requires an upperclass British accent.) \nJan Warwick (M – 18-25) half-brother to Richard. Innocent and fawn-like\, he might be a bit slow and excitable. (All ethnicities. Role requires an upperclass British accent.) \nInspector Thomas (M/F – 40-65) a back to basics\, seasoned person of the law. (All ethnicities. Role requires an upperclass British accent.) \nSergeant Cadwallader (M/F – 20-30) a youngish person of the law who would rather be writing poetry than solving crimes. (All ethnicities. Role requires an upperclass British accent.) \nJulian Farrar (M – 25-45) a handsome leading man type\, he’s running for political office and having an affair with his neighbor\, Laura.
