Can the company’s young go-fer succeed in impersonating the famed opera legend? And what in the world happens when the presumed deceased star wakes up and realizes the show must go on? A brilliantly stupid American farce! \nCASTING THE FOLLOWING ROLES: \nNOTE: All Ethnicities are encouraged to audition for any role! \nMAX (M – 20s-30s) A socially awkward but highly talented operatic tenor who must find his self-confidence in order to move from company go-fer to renowned star.  Must be able to pull off an operatic aria (does not need to be a trained vocalist) and be comfortable with physical comedy (including comedic love scenes). \nMAGGIE (F – 20s-30s) An innocent\, beautiful ingenue\, in love with the idea of love.  Max’s presumed girlfriend and the rebellious daughter of the head of the opera company.  Must be comfortable with appearing in underwear (1930s underwear) and having a torrid (comedic) love scene with fellow actors. \nSAUNDERS (M – 40s-60s) The head of the opera company\, Maggie’s father and Max’s boss.  Explosive personality and comfortable with physical comedy. \nTITO (M – 30s-50s) The greatest tenor in the world.  Must have somewhat believable Italian accent\, be able to pull off an operatic aria (does not need to be a trained vocalist)\, and be comfortable with physical comedy (including comedic love scenes). \nMARIA (F – 30s-50s) A Sophia Loren type. Tito’s voluptuous\, and very jealous\, wife.  Goes to murderous rage to lustful passion in the blink of an eye.  Must have a somewhat believable Italian accent. \nBELLHOP (M or F – 18-85) The hotel bellhop\, rabid fan\, and operatic hopeful.  Must be very comfortable with physical comedy and totally ridiculous behavior.   \nDIANA (F – 30s-40s) Sexy small town opera diva who has no problem sleeping her way to the middle.  Must be comfortable wearing skimpy nighty and participating in comedic passionate love scenes. \nJULIA (F – 40s-70s) The wealthy Chairwoman of the Opera Guild. Thinks she is far younger and MUCH more physically desirable than anyone else does.
