Andrew Leslie\, from the novel by Shirley Jackson \nDIRECTOR: Holland Renton \nRUN:  September 21\, 2019 – October 19th\, 2019 \nFridays & Saturdays 8pm\, Sundays at 2pm. Special performances on Thursday and Sunday nights may be added for private parties and special events. \nThis is a community theater production.  Non-Equity.  There is no pay.  \nAUDITION DATES:\nOpen Call: \nDates: Monday\, July 29\, and Tuesday\, July 30\, 2019 \nTimes: 7pm – 9pm \nLocation: Long Beach Playhouse   \nCallbacks: \nWednesday\, July 31\, 2019: 7pm – 10pm\, by invitation only. \nREHEARSALS:\nFirst Read-Through: August 3\, 2019 12pm – 3pm \nRegular Rehearsal: Rehearsals start Monday\, August 5th at 7pm.  Rehearsals will take place Monday – Thursday 7pm to 10pm and Saturdays 1pm to 4pm. \nLocation: Long Beach Playhouse \nLINK TO BEG. Audition monologue sides will be made available on our Website and Facebook audition events for the show. \nLINK TO AUDITION MONOLOGUE SIDES\n  \nSHORT SYNOPSIS:  \nA supernatural researcher gathers together three participants to explore the haunting of a mansion with a dark history.  The Haunting of Hill House explores how fragile psyches can break under the pressure of a house that wants no one to leave. \nCASTING THE FOLLOWING ROLES:\nNOTE: All roles are open to all ethnicities. \nELEANOR VANCE (F\, 28). A participant in a supernatural study.  Socially awkward\, not confident and longing to belong. \nTHEODORA (F\, early 30’s). A participant in a supernatural study.  Confident\, sensual and craves attention. \nLUKE SANDERSON (M\, mid to late 20’s). A participant in a supernatural study and the heir to Hill House.  Privileged and happy-go-lucky. \nDR. MONTAGUE (M\, late 40’s to early 60’s).   Organizer of the supernatural research experiment.  Professorial and caring. \nMRS. MONTAGUE (F\, late 40’s to early 60’s).  A spiritualist and very opinionated. \nARTHUR PARKER (M\, late 30’s to early 50’s).  A companion to Mrs. Montague.  Headmaster to a boy’s school.  Strait laced. \nMRS.
