SUMMARY:LBP NEW WORKS FESTIVAL: The Studio Collaborative Season
DESCRIPTION:The Long Beach Playhouse presents: LBP NEW WORKS FESTIVAL \nSuggested donation: $10 \nThe annual festival nurtures emerging and established playwrights to develop new scripts. Reading 100+ scripts a year\, the New Works Literary Committee chooses three top plays to receive a staged reading with critical feedback from professional theatre critics and audience talk back. \n  \nFriday\, April 10 @ 8pm \nMisconduct  by Nalsey Tinberg \nDirected by Phyllis Nofts \nA serious and topical play\,  where loyalties and relationships are tested\,  but one with humor (when appropriate) results in a tale of ultimate optimism and personal triumph. \nSaturday\, April\, 11 @ 8pm \nSHE by Marlow Wyatt \nDirected by Anna Kate Mohler \nA 13 year old girl in a small town uses her gift of poetry and wisdom beyond her years to rise above adversity.  \nSunday\, April 12 @ 2pm \nCity Mice by Rosemary Zibart \nDirected by Jim Felton \nTensions mount as city and rural values collide and two brothers have to face the realities of their past. \n*Audience Talkbacks after each Show! \nMission: \nTo give each winner a quality reading that focuses on the words of the playwright in order to service the objective evaluation and critique of their work. \n  \nCHECK OUT THE FACEBOOK EVENT!
