SUMMARY:MARAT/SADE
DESCRIPTION:*Note: This production contains mature content\, nudity\, explicit sexual situations\, and violence – parental discretion advised. \n  \nMarat/Sade or \nThe Persecution and Assassination of Jean-Paul Marat As Performed by the Inmates of the Asylum of Charenton Under the Direction of the Marquis De Sade by Peter Weiss \nDirector: Andrew Vonderschmitt \nMovement Director: Brian Bozanich \nMusic Director: Stephen Olear \nStage Manager: Amber Caras \nWhen the Marquis de Sade\, an inmate of the Asylum of Charenton\, chooses to stage a theatrical production based on the murder of Jean-Paul Marat\, the lines between reality and art blur and eventually disappear completely.  Taking place following the French Revolution\, this play-within-a-play delves into political intrigue and dark humor\, as a revolution of the mind develops against the powers-that-be that run the asylum.  The fight against suppression and freedom of thought is brought to life through brilliant dialogue and the passion of the disenfranchised. \n  \nIn Order of Appearance: \n\n\n\n\nColton Dillion \n\n\n\n\nLorne Stevenson Jr. \n\n\n\n\nTyler Gray \n\n\n\n\nAustin James \n\n\n\n\nLorraine SUMMARY:HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS (WITHOUT REALLY TRYING)
DESCRIPTION:Director: Anthony Galleran \nMusical Director: Bill Wolfe \nChoreographer: Tanya Thompson \nJoin J. Pierrepont Finch as he meteorically rises from lowly window washer to high-powered executive in this rousing musical satire – featuring such familiar hits as “I Believe in You” and “Brotherhood of Man.”  When Finch follows the teaching of his business success handbook\, he climbs the corporate ladder better – and faster – than anyone could ever imagine.  Biting comedy and bright insights are highlighted with delightfully memorable songs and dances in this classic Broadway musical.  As Finch battles such corporate traps as office parties\, backstabbing co-workers\, and caffeine addiction\, could it be that the only real obstacle might be – true love? \nIn Order of Appearance: \n  \n\nMitchell Nunn\n\n\nSteven Alcantar\n\n\nNick Bradfield\n\n\nGlenn Koppel\n\n\nMonica Beld\n\n\nJefferson Lanz\n\n\nAllison Aoun\n\n\nRussell Malang\n\n\nSarah Chaffin\n\n\nLindsay Valerio\n\n\nGreg Abbott\n\n\nMallory Kerwin\n\n\nAlyssa Garcia\n\n\nSamuel Goldman\n\n\nLisa LeBlanc\n\n\nErin Martinez\nDash Porter\n\n\nRachel Seldon\n\n\nKari Venaas\n\n\nGraham Wojcik\n\n\nOFFICIAL TRAILER:\n\n\nREHEARSAL PREVIEW PHOTO GALLERY:\n\n\n\n PERFORMANCE AND PRESS PHOTO GALLERY:\n\n\n \n \n \n \n HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS (WITHOUT REALLY TRYING)\n(MAINSTAGE\, JULY 2 – AUGUST 6\, 2016)\nPHOTO 1: Greg Abbott (TWIMBLE\, WOMPER)\, Steven Alcantar (FINCH)\n(Michael Hardy Photography)\n \n \n \n \n \n HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS (WITHOUT REALLY TRYING)\n(MAINSTAGE\, JULY 2 – AUGUST 6\, 2016)\nPHOTO 2: Dash Porter (ENSEMBLE)\, Graham Wojcik (ENSEMBLE)\, Russell Malang (BUD FRUMP)\, Nick Bradfield (GATCH)\n(Michael Hardy Photography)\n \n \n \n \n \n HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS (WITHOUT REALLY TRYING)\n(MAINSTAGE\, JULY 2 – AUGUST 6\, 2016)\nPHOTO 3: CENTER: Mallory Kerwin (HEDY LARUE)\, CLOCKWISE STARTING AT 7PM: Russell Malang (BUD FRUMP)\, Erin Martinez (ENSEMBLE)\, Dash Porter (ENSEMBLE)\, Lisa LeBlanc (ENSEMBLE)\, Rachel Seldon (ENSEMBLE)\, Samuel Goldman (ENSEMBLE)\, Graham Wojcik (ENSEMBLE)\, Kari Venaas (ENSEMBLE)\, Alyssa Garcia (ENSEMBLE)\, Nick Bradfield (GATCH)\, Sarah Chaffin (MS. SUMMARY:REASONS TO BE PRETTY
DESCRIPTION:reasons to be pretty by Neil LaBute \n*Note: This production contains mature content – parental discretion advised. \nIn this modern love story about the impossibly difficult challenges of being a loving couple\, we are introduced to two young adults whose relationship is threatened by a slip of the tongue.  When Greg is overheard explaining that he loves Steph even though she only has “normal” looks unlike the amazingly pretty new girl at work\, all hell breaks loose.  The issues of love\, friendship\, honesty\, and lies\, are brought to life in witty banter and frustratingly true slice of life moments. Funny\, sweet\, and true\, these characters will anger\, frustrate\, amuse\, and worm their way into your hearts. \n  \n\nFeaturing: \n\n\nJohnny Martin\, Ali Kendall\, Robert Adams\, Courtney Chudleigh\n\n\nOFFICIAL TRAILER:\n\n\n\n\nREHEARSAL PREVIEW PHOTO GALLERY:\n\n\n\nPERFORMANCE AND PRESS PHOTO GALLERY: \n\n \n \n \n \n REASONS TO BE PRETTY (STUDIO\, July 23rd – Aug. 20th\, 2016)\nPHOTO 1: Ali Kendall (STEPH)\, Johnny Martin (GREG)\n(Michael Hardy Photography)\n \n \n \n \n \n REASONS TO BE PRETTY (STUDIO\, July 23rd – Aug. 20th\, 2016) \nPHOTO 2: Johnny Martin (GREG)\n(Michael Hardy Photography)\n \n \n \n \n \n REASONS TO BE PRETTY (STUDIO\, July 23rd – Aug. 20th\, 2016)\nPHOTO 3: Robert Adams (KENT)\, Johnny Martin (GREG)\n(Michael Hardy Photography)\n \n \n \n \n \n REASONS TO BE PRETTY (STUDIO\, July 23rd – Aug. 20th\, 2016)\nPHOTO 4: Courtney Chudleigh (CARLY)\, Robert Adams (KENT)\, Johnny Martin (GREG)\n(Michael Hardy Photography)\n \n \n \n \n \n REASONS TO BE PRETTY (STUDIO\, July 23rd – Aug. 20th\, 2016)\nPHOTO 5: Johnny Martin (GREG)\, Ali Kendall (STEPH)\n(Michael Hardy Photography)\n \n \n \n \n \n REASONS TO BE PRETTY (STUDIO\, July 23rd – Aug. 20th\, 2016)\nPHOTO 6: Johnny Martin (GREG)\, Ali Kendall (STEPH)\n(Michael Hardy Photography)\n \n \n \n \n \n REASONS TO BE PRETTY (STUDIO\, July 23rd – Aug. 20th\, 2016)\nPHOTO 7: Johnny Martin (GREG)\, Robert Adams (KENT)\n(Michael Hardy Photography)\n \n \n \n \n \n REASONS TO BE PRETTY (STUDIO\, July 23rd – Aug. 20th\, 2016)\nPHOTO 8: Courtney Chudleigh (CARLY)\, Johnny Martin (GREG)\n(Michael Hardy Photography)\n \n \n \n \n \n REASONS TO BE PRETTY (STUDIO\, July 23rd – Aug. 20th\, 2016)\nPHOTO 9: Johnny Martin (GREG)\, Ali Kendall (STEPH)\n(Michael Hardy Photography)\n \n \n \n \n \n REASONS TO BE PRETTY (STUDIO\, July 23rd – Aug. 20th\, 2016)\nPHOTO 10: Johnny Martin (GREG)\, Ali Kendall (STEPH)\n(Michael Hardy Photography)\n \n \n \n \n \n REASONS TO BE PRETTY (STUDIO\, July 23rd – Aug. 20th\, 2016)\nPHOTO 11: BACK ROW: Johnny Martin (GREG)\, Robert Adams (KENT)\, FRONT ROW: Ali Kendall (STEPH)\, Courtney Chudleigh (CARLY)\n(Michael Hardy Photography)\n \n \n\nPLEASE VISIT OUR FACEBOOK EVENT!

SUMMARY:THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST (All Women Cast)
DESCRIPTION:THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST \nby Oscar Wilde\, Adapted for an all Woman Cast \nThis classic satire is brought to new life in this all-woman production\, as the female sensibilities of the performers bring new light to the gender stereotypes so crucial to the convoluted machinations of this comedy of manners.  Fast\, funny\, and entirely female\, Earnest is guaranteed to reignite the audiences love of high British farce. Algernon and Jack\, both devout bachelors\, have fallen in love\, but their love interests know them only as “Ernest\,” a name every woman in London seems unable to resist.  Mistaken identity\, social mores\, and love-born mistruths are brilliantly skewered by the master\, Oscar Wilde. \nCAST LIST: \nFiona Austin (ALGERNON MONCRIEFF) \nAlyssa Garcia (LANE/MERRIMAN) \nDeva Marie Gregory (JOHN WORTHING\, JD) \nJazmine Ramay (HON. SUMMARY:SWEENEY TODD: THE DEMON BARBER OF FLEET STREET
DESCRIPTION:Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street \nMusic and Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim\, Book by Hugh Wheeler \n  \nDirector: Sean F. Gray\nMusic Director: Stephen Olear\nChoreographer: Halley Hardy \n  \nStephen Sondheim’s brilliant foray into bloodlust and revenge is being given an intimately terrifying and darkly humorous re-telling in the Studio Theatre. The infamous tale of Sweeney Todd\, an unjustly exiled barber\, follows his blood-soaked return to 19th century London as he seeks vengeance against the lecherous judge who framed him\, ravaged his young wife\, and keeps his daughter a virtual prisoner in his house.  Close shaves\, razor-sharp wit\, and unsettlingly delicious meat pies (with a secret ingredient)\, combined with Sondheim’s brilliant and disturbingly beautiful music\, will delight even the faint of heart. \n  \n\nIn Order of Appearance: \n\n\n \n\n\nKJ Brown\n\n\nSteven Shane\n\n\nOmar Timsah\n\n\nCarole Louise Duffis\n\n\nSerena Bottiani-Henderson\n\n\nChristopher Diem\n\n\nJulia Siegel\n\n\nAnne French\n\n\nLeigh Hayes\n\n\nDennis Dyck\n\n\nNoah Wagner\n\n\nKyra Kiener\n\n\nHarriet Whitmyer\n\n\nAnissa Leeanna Loer\n\n\nDavid Fairchild\n\n\nRobert J. SUMMARY:A CHRISTMAS CAROL (2016)
DESCRIPTION:Director: Ryan Holihan\n\n\nStage Manager: Wilhelm Peters\n\n  \nReturning for its fifth incarnation at Long Beach Playhouse\, this quick-paced\, highly theatrical re-telling of Charles Dickens’ classic tale will delight the entire family.  In 19th century England\, the ghosts of Christmases past\, present and future show Ebenezer Scrooge the poverty of his material wealth and the blessings that come with generosity. Can they convince him to change before it’s too late? Come spend time with the characters you’ve come to love – Bob Cratchit\, Tiny Tim\, and of course the irascible miser himself.  This production will be the Christmas party needed to set you and your loved ones on the path to holiday cheer. \n\nIn Order of Appearance: \n\n\nLisa J. Reading 100+ scripts a year\, the New Works Literary Committee chooses two top plays to receive a staged reading with critical feedback from professional theatre critics and audience talk back. \nTHE WINNING SHOWS: \nTHE OTHER GENIUS a farce by Steven Haworth\nStage Reading: Saturday\, April\, 1st at 8pm \nReading directed by David Anis \nCast List: \nWill Jorge (Jameson) \nLaura Clagett (Fiona) \nDerek Bulger (David) \nLoren Bowen (Ariana) \nBradley Roa (Darko) \nChelsea Anna (Tamazawa) \nJameson\, a student at a local community college is obsessed with Fiona\, his childhood au pair who is now his Psychology 101 professor\, who is in love with David\, a wealthy and powerful genius business man who also happens to be Jameson’s father. Jameson finds out about his father and Fiona’s love affair\, and while in the process of breaking them up\, is confronted with his past. Plot twist after plot twist sends Jameson on a wild journey\, revealing truths that he could not have imagined in his wildest dreams. \nON A RAW MOOSE DAY by Alan Goodson\nStage Reading: Friday\, March 31st at 8pm \nReading directed by Chris Mertan \nCast List: \nBob Fetes (Max Leviathan) \nLarry Adler (Andrew Folger) \nLoren Bowen (Judy Leviathan) \nAlec Malczynski (Jimmy Spiegel) \nJane Nunn (Margie Leviathan) \nIn this meta-theatrical farce\, a character in a play realizes that he is an actor playing a character in a play and that the world around him\, his words and actions have all been predetermined by a playwright. His sanity comes into question when he tries to convince the other charactrs of this revelation. With fascinating twists and turns\, truth and reality become blurry\, challenging the viewer’s perceptions. \nProduced by Anna Kate Mohler

SUMMARY:TREASURE ISLAND
DESCRIPTION:This is the first adaptation of Treasure Island with great parts both male and female performers. Inspired by real-life female adventurers\, Phil Willmott has changed the gender of several of the central characters without compromising the spirit of Stevenson’s classic novel. First produced to great acclaim as part of London’s Free Theatre Festival on the South Bank in 2005\, this swashbuckling stage adaptation brings out all the comedy and adventure of this ever-popular story. \nCAST LIST: \n\nA’driana Abbate (ISABELLA LOLITA ESMERALDA CORTEZ)\n\n\nCarmel Artstein (JIM HAWKINS)\n\n\nAnthony Austin (NATHANIEL CRISP)\n\n\nJake Blakely (GENTLEMAN JACK)\n\n\nSerena Bottiani-Henderson (MISS LUCINDA LIVESEY)\n\n\nJaxson Brashier (CAPTAIN OBADIAH SMOLLETT)\n\n\nCarole Louise Duffis (NIGHTINGALE NELL)\n\n\nDavid Clark Hutchinson (BLIND PUGH/ISRAEL HANDS)\n\n\nErik Celso Mann (LONG JOHN SILVER)\n\n\nGregory McEwen (BLACK DOG)\n\n\nValiant Michael (HARRY FLASH)\n\n\nJack Murphy (BILLY BONES/GEORGE MERRY)\n\n\nMitchell Nunn (BEN GUNN)\n\n\nJill Prout (LADY JACQUELINE TRELAWNEY)\n\n\nKip Hogan (CAPTAIN FLINT/PUPPETEER)\n\n\nLisa J. SUMMARY:VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE
DESCRIPTION:Winner of the 2013 Tony Award for Best Play\, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike is one of the most lauded and beloved Broadway plays of recent years. Comedically employing many themes from Anton Chekov’s works\, we are treated to an examination of sibling rivalry\, redemption\, voodoo\, and showbiz. When Vanya and Sonia’s quiet life is disrupted by their movie star sister Masha’s return to the family home\, not even Disney can come to the rescue. A collection of hilariously complex characters brings light to the shallowness of ambition\, regret\, and the cultural decay of American life. \nCAST: \nGary Douglas (VANYA) \nSusan E. SUMMARY:DEAD MAN'S CELL PHONE
DESCRIPTION:An incessantly ringing cell phone disturbs a woman sitting at a café table. She is furious at the owner for not picking up the call\, until she discovers he’s dead. So begins Dead Man’s Cell Phone\, a wildly imaginative new dramatic comedy. This work about how we memorialize the dead\, and how that remembering changes us\, is the odyssey of a woman confronting her own assumptions about morality\, redemption\, and the need to connect in a technologically obsessed world.  This is a show for those who have felt the need for personal attachment in the detached world of cellular communication. \nLatonya Kitchen (JEAN) \nDavid  Vaillancourt (GORDON) \nMarlene Galan-Woods (MRS. SUMMARY:GUYS AND DOLLS
DESCRIPTION:Set in Damon Runyon’s mythical New York City\, Guys And Dolls is an oddball romantic comedy. Gambler Nathan Detroit tries to find the cash to set up the biggest craps game in town while the authorities breathe down his neck; meanwhile\, his girlfriend\, nightclub performer Adelaide\, laments that they’ve been engaged for 14 years. Nathan turns to fellow gambler Sky Masterson for the dough\, but Sky ends up chasing the straight-laced missionary Sarah Brown. Guys And Dolls takes us from the heart of Times Square to the cafes of Havana\, Cuba\, and even into the sewers of New York City\, but eventually everyone ends up right where they belong. \nCAST LIST: \nJohn Carroll (SKY MASTERSON) \nAndrea R.
