Off the computer\, however\, in a Puerto Rican neighborhood in North Philly\, Odessa Ortiz’s real-life family is falling apart. Her nephew\, Elliot\, has returned from Iraq both physically and emotionally broken. Her niece\, Yaz\, is unable to reconcile her identity as a North Philly girl from the barrio with her upper-crust\, intellectual lifestyle. Her sister\, who was the mother that Odessa could never be\, is dying of cancer. SUMMARY:THE HATMAKER'S WIFE
DESCRIPTION:In Lauren Yee’s comic fairy tale inspired by the Jewish folktales of Sholem Aleichem\, we are introduced to a young woman who moves in with her boyfriend expecting domestic bliss. Instead\, she finds discomfort\, displacement\, and the realization that she needs more.  In this witty and often deeply touching comedy\, she finds assistance and guidance from the unlikeliest of sources — a wall in her new home. As the wall shares with her the magical tale of an old hat-maker and his long-suffering wife\, this sweet and surreal story bends time and space to redefine the idea of family\, home\, and true love itself. \nCAST LIST:\n\nTod Walker (HETCHMAN)\nRose London (HETCHMAN’S WIFE)\nHenry Weaver (MECKEL)\nAmara Phelps (VOICE)\nRoxanne Martinez (WALL)\nJeremy Cooley (GABE)\nDondre Massey (GOLEM)\n\nSHOW TRAILER:\n \nPREVIEW VIDEO:\n \nPERFORMANCE PHOTOS:\n\n \n \n \n \n THE HATMAKER’S WIFE (STUDIO\, JUNE 8TH – JULY 6TH\, 2019)\nPHOTO 1: Rose London (HETCHMAN’S WIFE)\, Tod Walker (HETCHMAN)\n(Michael Hardy Photography)\n \n \n \n \n \n THE HATMAKER’S WIFE (STUDIO\, JUNE 8TH – JULY 6TH\, 2019)\nPHOTO 2: Amara Phelps (VOICE)\, Jeremy Cooley (GABE)\n(Michael Hardy Photography)\n \n \n \n \n \n THE HATMAKER’S WIFE (STUDIO\, JUNE 8TH – JULY 6TH\, 2019)\nPHOTO 3: Tod Walker (HETCHMAN)\, Henry Weaver Jr. (MECKEL)\n(Michael Hardy Photography)\n \n \n \n \n \n THE HATMAKER’S WIFE (STUDIO\, JUNE 8TH – JULY 6TH\, 2019)\nPHOTO 4: Roxanne Martinez (WALL)\n(Michael Hardy Photography)\n \n \n \n \n \n THE HATMAKER’S WIFE (STUDIO\, JUNE 8TH – JULY 6TH\, 2019)\nPHOTO 5: Amara Phelps (VOICE)\, Jeremy Cooley (GABE)\n(Michael Hardy Photography)\n \n \n \n \n \n THE HATMAKER’S WIFE (STUDIO\, JUNE 8TH – JULY 6TH\, 2019)\nPHOTO 6: Rose London (HETCHMAN’S WIFE)\, Amara Phelps (VOICE)\n(Michael Hardy Photography)\n \n \n \n \n \n THE HATMAKER’S WIFE (STUDIO\, JUNE 8TH – JULY 6TH\, 2019)\nPHOTO 7: Roxanne Martinez (WALL)\, Henry Weaver Jr. (MECKEL)\n(Michael Hardy Photography)\n \n \n \n \n \n THE HATMAKER’S WIFE (STUDIO\, JUNE 8TH – JULY 6TH\, 2019)\nPHOTO 8: Dondre Massey (GOLEM)\, Tod Walker (HETCHMAN)\n(Michael Hardy Photography)\n \n \n \n \n \n THE HATMAKER’S WIFE (STUDIO\, JUNE 8TH – JULY 6TH\, 2019)\nPHOTO 9: Dondre Massey (GOLEM)\, Tod Walker (HETCHMAN)\n(Michael Hardy Photography)\n \n \n \n \n \n THE HATMAKER’S WIFE (STUDIO\, JUNE 8TH – JULY 6TH\, 2019)\nPHOTO 10: Henry Weaver Jr. (MECKEL)\, Tod Walker (HETCHMAN)\, Dondre Massey (GOLEM)\n(Michael Hardy Photography)\n \n \n \n \n \n THE HATMAKER’S WIFE (STUDIO\, JUNE 8TH – JULY 6TH\, 2019)\nPHOTO 11: Roxanne Martinez (WALL)\, Amara Phelps (VOICE)\n(Michael Hardy Photography)\n \n \n \n \n \n THE HATMAKER’S WIFE (STUDIO\, JUNE 8TH – JULY 6TH\, 2019)\nPHOTO 12: Rose London (HETCHMAN’S WIFE)\, Tod Walker (HETCHMAN)\n(Michael Hardy Photography)\n\n \n \n \n \n \n THE HATMAKER’S WIFE (STUDIO\, JUNE 8TH – JULY 6TH\, 2019)\nPHOTO 13: Rose London (HETCHMAN’S WIFE)\n(Michael Hardy Photography)\n \n \n \n \n \n THE HATMAKER’S WIFE (STUDIO\, JUNE 8TH – JULY 6TH\, 2019)\nPHOTO 14: BACK ROW: Dondre Massey (GOLEM)\, Roxanne Martinez (WALL)\, Amara Phelps (VOICE)\, Jeremy Cooley (GABE)\, FRONT ROW: Rose London (HETCHMAN’S WIFE)\, Tod Walker (HETCHMAN)\, Henry Weaver Jr. (MECKEL)\n(Michael Hardy Photography)\n \n \n\nVISIT OUR FACEBOOK EVENT!

Claude\, his best friend Berger\, their roommate Sheila\, and their Tribe of friends struggle to balance the demands of the harsh and violent world with their dream for a more beautiful and peaceful world. When Claude receives his draft notice\, he must decide whether to join his friends in resisting the draft\, or bow to the pressures of society and his conservative parents\, thereby sacrificing his ideals and\, possibly\, his life. SUMMARY:HAIR
DESCRIPTION:Rediscover the wonders\, pains\, and joys within “the age of Aquarius.” HAIR celebrates the sixties counterculture in all its barefoot\, long-haired\, bell-bottomed\, beaded and fringed glory. With an infectiously energetic rock beat\, the show explores ideas of identity\, community\, global responsibility\, and peace\, as it remains as relevant as ever\, examining what it means to be a young person in a changing world.  Once a mirror held up to the explosive and experimental life of young people in the 1960s\, HAIR now provides all ages a microscopic view of the eternal struggle of youth finding their voice. \nThis Playhouse production will feature full frontal nudity\, simulated drug use\, adult language\, and other adult situations. Under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian. \nCAST LIST:\n\nShannon Wynne (JEANIE)\nJacob Rachuy Stephenson (BERGER)\nLatonya Kitchen (DIONNE)\nJules Ronquillo (WOOF)\nCelia Ruskin
