This is a community theater production.  Non-Equity.  There is no pay.

REHEARSALS:

First Read-Through: August 3, 2019 12pm – 3pm

Regular Rehearsal: Rehearsals start Monday, August 5th at 7pm.  Rehearsals will take place Monday – Thursday 7pm to 10pm and Saturdays 1pm to 4pm.

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:

Bring headshot and resume. Prepare a 1 minute monologue from the show and be ready to receive a different objective than you played initially. Audition monologue sides will be made available on our Website and Facebook audition events for the show.

SHORT SYNOPSIS:  

A supernatural researcher gathers together three participants to explore the haunting of a mansion with a dark history.  The Haunting of Hill House explores how fragile psyches can break under the pressure of a house that wants no one to leave.

CASTING THE FOLLOWING ROLES:

NOTE: All roles are open to all ethnicities.

ELEANOR VANCE (F, 28). A participant in a supernatural study.  Socially awkward, not confident and longing to belong.

THEODORA (F, early 30’s). A participant in a supernatural study.  Confident, sensual and craves attention.

LUKE SANDERSON (M, mid to late 20’s). A participant in a supernatural study and the heir to Hill House.  Privileged and happy-go-lucky.

DR. MONTAGUE (M, late 40’s to early 60’s).   Organizer of the supernatural research experiment.  Professorial and caring.

MRS. MONTAGUE (F, late 40’s to early 60’s).  A spiritualist and very opinionated.

ARTHUR PARKER (M, late 30’s to early 50’s).  A companion to Mrs. Montague.  Headmaster to a boy’s school.  Strait laced.

MRS. DUDLEY (F, late 40’s to early 60’s). Housekeeper for Hill House.  No nonsense and dry.
