This is a volunteer community theater production. Non-Equity. There is no pay.

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:
Bring headshot and resume.
Please prepare a memorized monologue of the genre.
Sides for cold readings will be provided at the auditions for those without a prepared monologue.
SHORT SYNOPSIS:
The year is 1917 and injured in WWI, Lt. Hastings finds himself convalescing at the manor of his old friend, John Cavendish. A crime is committed and Hercule Poirot, the famed Belgium detective, is called in to solve the mystery. Adapted from Agatha Christie’s first novel and the first appearance of her famous detective, Hercule Poirot.
CASTING THE FOLLOWING ROLES:
NOTE: Actively seeking all ethnicities for all roles. All roles except for Poirot require a British accent. POIROT requires a Belgian accent.
LT. ARTHUR HASTINGS: (M, 20-30). A romantic and aspiring detective. Old friend to John. Recovering at Styles from a war related injury. (Role requires a British Accent.)
JOHN CAVENDISH: (M, 30-40). Emily’s eldest son. Trained as a lawyer but settled down to be a country squire. Older brother to Lawrence, husband to Mary. (Role requires a British Accent.)
LAWRENCE CAVENDISH: (M, 20-30). Trained as a doctor, now an aspiring poet. Shy and reserved. Younger brother to John. (Role requires a British Accent.)
HERCULE POIROT: (M, 40+). A Belgian detective, impeccable in manner and dress. Obsessive with a wry sense of humour. (Role requires a Belgian Accent.)
DR. BAUERSTEIN: (M, 50+) Medical specialist in poisons. (Role requires a British Accent.)
ALFRED INGLETHORP: (M, 30-40). Recently married to Emily, her former secretary. An odd bird. (Role requires a British Accent.)
DETECTIVE JAPP: (M, 30-65). An inspector for Scotland Yard. Worked with Poirot. (Role requires a British Accent.)
EVIE HOWARD: (F, 40-60s). Sensible, very organized, loyal companion to Emily. (Role requires a British Accent.)
MARY CAVENDISH: (F, 20-30s). Very smart with a dry sense of humour. Married to John. (Role requires a British Accent.)
CYNTHIA MURDOCH: (F, 20s). Works at pharmacy at hospital, full of life. Ward of Mrs. Ingelthorpe’s. Lively and quick witted. (Role requires a British Accent.)
EMILY INGLETHROPE: (F, 60-70). Mistress of Styles Court, autocratic, socialite. Step mother to John and Lawrence, newly married to Alfred Inglethorp. She runs numerous charitable societies, but is too busy to notice the danger around her. (Role requires a British Accent.)
DORCAS: (F, 30+). Loyal parlor maid at Styles Court. (Role requires a British Accent.)
