PLEASE NOTE: The Studio Theater is on the 2nd Floor. Due to the age of our building, there is no elevator and the theater is only accessible by stairs.
Description:
A series of short plays written by Rick Reischman featuring 2 dramas and 6 comedies. Each play features a different subject and style. No two plays are alike!
THE PLAYS:
“Literal West”: Comedy. A bartender in the Old West who takes everything literally is confronted by an Outlaw.
“Overly Dramatic Theater”: Comedy. A sitcom written in the 90’s is replayed, then played as an overly dramatic drama.
“There Used to be Rainbows”: A thriller/drama. A couple returns to New York City after many years and deals with some unresolved issues.
“Finding Murder”: Comedy. A detective in England with short term memory loss tries to solve a murder.
“Fanman”: Dark Comedy. A serial killer tries to break into a young woman’s house to kill her.
“Family History”: Drama. A woman and her husband return to their Great-Grandparents home in Germany and learn about their family history.
“A Few Good Auditions”: Comedy. Two friends are casting a show they are both directing, but one curses auditions by saying the wrong thing.
“Good Cop, Dad Cop”: Comedy. After a loud concert, two cops are interrogating a suspect. Things start to go wrong when one cop is asked to play a bad cop.
