(Auditioners only need to come to one night of open call auditions.  We are only seeing in-person auditioners during audition times – no video submissions. Auditioners will be seen on a first come, first serve basis determined by when they signed-in at the Open Call.)

Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays 8pm, Sundays at 2pm. Special performances on Wednesday and Sunday nights may be added for private parties and special events.

This is a volunteer community theater production. Non-Equity. There is no pay.

REHEARSALS:

First Read-Through: October 17, 2026, Noon – 4pm

Regular Rehearsal: Starting Oct. 18: Sundays 5pm – 8pm, and Mon. – Thurs. 7pm – 10pm.

NOTE: Open to working with some limited minor conflicts, but we will not be casting people with conflicts on tech dates and performances.

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:

Bring headshot and resume. 

Audition will consist of cold readings from provided sides. 

British accents required; please be prepared to do the accent for the audition.

SHORT SYNOPSIS:

An adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic Christmas novella. A Christmas Carol is the tale of a miserable and miserly man, Ebenezer Scrooge, learning to value people over riches with the help of spirits. This story takes a critical look at the responsibilities of those with wealth, to those in need.

CASTING THE FOLLOWING ROLES:

NOTE: All roles require a British Accent. Non-traditional casting welcome: open to all races, genders, and ages.

EBENEZER SCROOGE (M, to play 50+): A cold-hearted miser, whose fear of the world has manifested in a hatred for Christmas. (Role requires a British Accent.)

CHARLES DICKENS (M or F, to play 20-40): A charismatic, charming, and funny narrator to our story. Will also play the Old Woman. (Role requires a British Accent.)

BOB CRATCHIT (M, 35-45): An optimistic, mild-mannered man who loves his large family. Will also play Dick Wilkins and Trader 1. (Role requires a British Accent. Role requires Intimate Moments with MRS. CRATCHIT: kissing.)

GHOST OF CHRISTMAS PAST (F, to play 20-25): A strange, playful, and otherworldly spirit who shows Scrooge his past. Will also play Mrs. Dilber. (Role requires a British Accent.)

GHOST OF CHRISTMAS PRESENT (M or F, all ages 25+ considered): An exuberant and forgetful spirit who is the embodiment of Christmas Day. Will also play Old Joe. (Role requires a British Accent.)

JACOB MARLEY (M, to play 50 +): The ghost of Ebenezer Scrooge’s dead business partner. Will also play Mr. Fezziwig, and Trader 2. (Role requires a British Accent.)

FRED HONEYWELL (M, 20-30): Scrooge’s nephew and a joyful young man filled with love and Christmas cheer. Will also play Young Ebenezer, and Thomas. (Role requires a British Accent. Role requires Intimate Moments with BELLE: kissing.)

BELLE (F, 18-30) A young woman with fierce convictions and the lost love of Ebenezer. Will also play Elizabeth, and Caroline. (Role requires a British Accent. Role requires Intimate Moments with FRED: kissing.)

MRS. CRATCHIT (F, 35-50): A strong headed matriarch of her family. She is kind-hearted but not afraid to speak her truth. Will also play Mrs. Oliver. (Role requires a British Accent. Role requires Intimate Moments with BOB: kissing.)

MARTHA CRATCHIT (F, 18-22): The Cratchit family’s hard-working oldest daughter. Will also play a Caroler, and Katherine. (Role requires a British Accent.)

PETER CRATCHIT (M, 14-18): Eldest son of the Cratchits. Will also play a Caroler, Teen Ebenezer, Want, and Turkey Boy. (Role requires a British Accent.)

BELINDA CRATCHIT (F, 9-13) Youngest daughter of the Cratchits. Will also play a Caroler, Fan, and Ignorance. (Role requires a British Accent.)

TINY TIM (M or F, 7-11) A kind-hearted, sickly boy who loves Christmas. Will also play Child Ebenezer, and Tom. (Role requires a British Accent.)

SOLICITOR 1/ ENSEMBLE (M, 15-30): Will also play the Undertaker, Street Vendor, and Topper. (Role requires a British Accent.)

SOLICITOR 2/ ENSEMBLE (F, 15-30): Will also play the Clergyman, Street Vendor, and Janet. (Role requires a British Accent.)

BEGINNING REHEARSAL SCHEDULE:
