(Auditioners only need to come to one night of open call auditions.  We are only seeing in-person auditioners during audition times – no video submissions.)

Fridays & Saturdays 8pm, Sundays at 2pm. Special performances on Thursday and Sunday nights may be added for private parties and special events.

This is a volunteer community theater production.  Non-Equity.  There is no pay.

Regular Rehearsal: Starting June 1st, Monday – Thursday 7pm – 10pm; Sundays 6pm – 9pm.

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:

Bring headshot and resume. 

Sides for cold readings will be provided at the auditions.

New York accent a plus, but not required.

SHORT SYNOPSIS:  

A slacker security guard, his strict supervisor, a local hero cop, and his attractive, rookie partner interact in a mid-tier New York apartment lobby. Part drama, part comedy, and a little bit of romance, as loyalties are strained to the breaking point.

CASTING THE FOLLOWING ROLES:

JEFF (M, Late Twenties) White American. A goof-off security guard in the middle of the graveyard shift. He wants to make a better life for himself, he just doesn’t know where or how.

WILLIAM (M, Late Twenties) Black American. The youngest captain in the history of his security firm and looking to grow. Struggles with his brother’s recent trouble with the law.

BILL (M, Around Thirty) White American Beloved local hero cop who believes his own hype and has happily allowed it to corrupt him. Only really here to “visit” the woman in apartment 22-J. Imagine the typical image of a cop: that’s Bill.

DAWN (F, Early Twenties) Any ethnicity, American. A naive, cute rookie cop, torn between admiration for her partner and her firm morals. In over her head, but aspires to be a great cop.
