Run: Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, Sundays at 2pm

Synopsis

Director: Anthony Galleran

Musical Director: Bill Wolfe

Join J. Pierrepont Finch as he meteorically rises from lowly window washer to high-powered executive in this rousing musical satire – featuring such familiar hits as “I Believe in You” and “Brotherhood of Man.”  When Finch follows the teaching of his business success handbook, he climbs the corporate ladder better – and faster – than anyone could ever imagine.  Biting comedy and bright insights are highlighted with delightfully memorable songs and dances in this classic Broadway musical.  As Finch battles such corporate traps as office parties, backstabbing co-workers, and caffeine addiction, could it be that the only real obstacle might be – true love?

Synopsis

When the family patriarch dies, a poor African-American family living on Chicago’s South Side, must decide what to do with the soon-to-arrive insurance settlement.  Should it be used to establish a liquor store, as son Walter Lee plans to do, hopefully moving the family out of poverty?  Or should his mother’s religious objections to alcohol be considered?  Family tensions rise as the future of the Younger family is weighed against the difficulties of the harsh and changing world in which they live.  Questions of race and politics, of assimilation and historical awareness are seamlessly interwoven in this touching and wrenching family drama.

PYGMALION

About the Play

Director: Sarah Butts
Run: Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, Sundays at 2pm

Synopsis

Professor of phonetics Henry Higgins makes a bet that he can train a bedraggled Cockney flower girl, Eliza Doolittle, to pass for a duchess at an ambassador’s garden party by teaching her to assume a veneer of gentility, the most important element of which, he believes, is impeccable speech. The play is a sharp lampoon of the rigid British class system of the day and a commentary on women’s independence.

Possibly Agatha Christie’s greatest play, The Mousetrap is a spine-tingling who-dunnit with all the classic earmarks you’ve come to expect from the “Queen of Mystery” – a group of strangers stranded in a boarding house, a series of murders, a mysterious (and very perceptive) policeman. Who might be the killer?  The newlyweds? The spinster with the secrets untold? The odd architect?  The military man?  Or the odd stranger claiming to have survived his automobile accident?  Everyone is a suspect and everyone is a potential victim.  See if you can discover the truth before it’s too late to save anyone!
