Four beautiful, badass women lose their heads in this irreverent, girl-powered comedy set during the French Revolution’s Reign of Terror. Playwright Olympe de Gouges, assassin Charlotte Corday, former queen (and fan of ribbons) Marie Antoinette, and Haitian rebel Marianne Angelle hang out, murder Marat, and try to beat back the extremist insanity in 1793 Paris. This grand and dream-tweaked comedy is about violence and legacy, art and activism, feminism and terrorism, compatriots and chosen sisters, and how we actually go about changing the world.

The citizens must use public amenities, regulated by a single malevolent company that profits by charging admission for one of humanity’s most basic needs. Amid the people, a hero decides that he’s had enough and plans a revolution to lead them all to freedom! This irreverently humorous “comedic romp” reinvigorates the very notion of what a musical could be, with wickedly modern wit and sustained unbridled laughter!

As Prior confronts his encounter with an angel, Roy faces his own mortality as Belize is forced to care for him as his nurse, Harper returns to reality to face the dissolving of her marriage, and Joe and Louis discover the consequences of their differing politics.  This moving, funny, gut-wrenching ending to this two-part masterpiece will fill you with emotional highs and lows, draw you in and trap you in its web of global and timeless issues.
